Description and operation
Installed inside the headliner, the curtain airbags (CAB) protect the driver
and passengers from danger in the eThe SRSCM determines deployment of curtain airbag
based on side impact sensor (SIS) signal.The SRSCM determines deployment of curtain
airbag by using side impact sensor (SIS) signal.
Never attempt to measure the circuit resistance of the airbag module
even if you are using the specified tester. If the circuit resistance is
measured with a tester, accidental airbag deployment will result in serious
personal injury.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 30 seconds.

Remove the roof trim.
(Refer to Body - "Roof Trim Assembly")

3. |
Disconnect the connector (A) for curtain airbag module.
|
4. |
Remove the curtain airbag module (A) after loosening the bolts.
Tightening torque :
7.8 - 11.7 N·m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf·m, 5.7 - 8.6 lb·ft)

Never twist the airbag module when installing it. If the module
is twisted, airbag module may operate abnormally.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Use the color of sentence and line on module to identify
curtain airbag.

After installing the airbag module, confirm proper system operation:
Switch "ON" the ignition. The SRS indicator light should turn on for
about six seconds and then off.
